If you’re anything like me, the first couple decades of your life will be filled with both the confidence that you could make the right girl happier than anyone else, and the confusion about why none of them seem to realize it.

good

Through high school, and maybe even some of college, you probably won’t do very well with girls. You’ll be too nice because you think that’s what they want, and you’ll get defeated by the ‘bad boy’ because of it.

And then you might even get bullied or made fun of by them.

You’ll view the guys who get the girls a lot different than they do. Let’s face it, they’ll probably seem kinda like dickheads. So, it’s only natural to feel like that’s what you have to become in order to win.

Don’t let that happen.

As you get older – you’ll begin to realize that women who are more mature and established in their own lives, have no interest in this kind of guy.

And even more importantly, the things that drew you to the kinds of girls who actually liked the jerks, will no longer interest you, either.

In fact, they’ll be sifting through the former high school jocks and tough guys, looking for you.

You might be mature for your age and start dating older women who appreciate you – then as you get more experienced and knowledgeable about what they want, you’ll be able to put what you’ve learned into effect to be successful with any type of woman.

You’ll realize you can be nice without being a doormat. You can be confident without being arrogant. And you can go out and get what you want out of life without being a jerk about it.

Stay strong, stay positive, and most of all, stay true to yourself. There will be someone who comes along that appreciates you for you.

Nice guys do finish last…because we make sure our women finish first.

Another great ending line, perfect! 🙂 I couldn’t agree more with what you said. Guys and girls included need to remember to be who they really are, no matter who that is and seek love that matches them. Don’t waste your time trying to change for someone else, because that will just cause you both heartache and even I had my “bad boy” phase, but it does get old very quickly. It’s important to remember that girls grow out of this phase and that good guys should stay good and not change since eventually a woman will see and cherish all that you are. Lovely post 🙂
