A bit of an unexpected scene unfolded last night at The Golden Globes during the award for Best Actress in a Television Series (Musical or Comedy).

During the nominee announcements, the camera panned to Amy Poehler, who was sitting on Bono’s lap getting her shoulders rubbed by him. First, it seems innocent enough, as it should considering Bono is married and Amy is the girlfriend of comedy actor, Nick Kroll.

Then, as Amy was announced the winner, she decided to heat things up in celebration.

While Bono’s wedding ring was clearly showing in the shot when he was rubbing Amy’s shoulders, it wasn’t really cause for alarm. But it looks like Amy was definitely the aggressor when she turned around to make out with Bono rather than just getting up to accept her award.

Nick Kroll, needless to say, was less than thrilled. Would anyone want to see their girlfriend make out with a celebrity in front of millions of people on national television? I think not.

Nick responded by sending out a “warning” tweet to Bono, to “watch his back.”

What are your thoughts on this? Do you think they crossed a line, or was it just for show, similar to two actors making out on screen, but are platonic in real life?

Did they literally just both cheat on their significant others on national TV?

It seems Hollywood is slowly but surely trying to change ALL of our moral values.
When we allow people like Miley Cyrus to stoop as low as she did, we only open the door to things like this.
I’ve given up on Hollywood. I think they have totally lost touch with reality.
Then again, maybe they are trying to make their own reality because they certainly don’t fit into the reasonable moral world the rest of us live in!

I think its a joke cuz she is a pretty funny lady but i think its kind off stupid of him righting that to Bono especialy when if we look closly, he’s kind off getting attacked by her! But then again maybe her boy toy is also a funny man and only making fun out of a funny situation! Who knows?

I think they crossed the line yes…because even if they were just being silly and trying to cause “talk”, they were insensitive to their partners. If I was one of the partners, I would be saddened by this.

Platonic my fat ass……cheating is not excusable by virtue of the fact that they actually did it on national tv…..think about it….what happens when no one is around??????

Hollywood is full of this kind of tongue wagging behavior, and I think they do it on purpose to get the tongues wagging…while she was trying to be funny (and failed) I think it’s a bit inappropriate…I would be miffed if I were Bono’s wife. I only watched the first hour of the Golden Globes until Downton Abbey came on at 9 PM. 🙂

It is inappropriate. What has happened to class and dignity? Apparently appropriate gestures of congratulations such as a handshake or hug now considered too low-key.
