Guys don’t require much to make us happy. Okay, okay… I’ll give you a second to stop laughing and catch your breath. But, it’s true! We are surprisingly simple creatures who really do want to make YOU happy, and don’t want anything in return except your love and affection.

BUT, if you’re lucky enough to have a guy in your life who puts in consistent effort for you (as he should), you need to understand that ANY guy, no matter how kind hearted, can get tired of giving his time if he doesn’t feel appreciated!

Since I know you’re NOT the type of woman to take a good man for granted, I’ve put together five small things that you can do for him to show him how much you care and appreciate what he does. Check’em out!

See? Not that difficult! I tell the same thing to men that I coach – your bankroll doesn’t govern how romantic you can be. Being romantic is about putting thought into small gestures or actions that you know your significant other will love. It’s about being creative, and putting THEM first.

If BOTH teammates in a relationship consistently show their appreciation for each other, there’s no way you can lose. The team wins the game!

Summary –

1. Plan a new experience together.

Plan something together that neither of you have done before, but have both wanted to do. It doesn’t have to be anything big… it could be visiting a museum or going to a concert. It’ll show him that you want to create lasting memories together.

2. Show up with food.

Before he gets to your place, or if you’re going to his, get the food taken care… and maybe some wine too.

It doesn’t require much effort, but it’s going to show him that you’re willing to take the initiative.

3. Get hooked on a new show together.

Having something to look forward to on a regular basis keeps you both excited and gives you a reason to cuddle up on the couch together. Common interests are a powerful bond the can be even more important when you compromise and watch something that each of you suggests.

4. Write love notes.

It’s free, it’s easy, more intimate than a text message, and you can leave it anywhere to surprise him.

With technology nowadays, he wouldn’t expect a small piece of paper with a love note on it. It is a surefire way to put a smile on his face.

5. Play video games together.

There’s nothing wrong with some friendly competition. It lets you be playful together and do something out of the ordinary.

The best nights you can have with him, aren’t necessarily extravagant nights out on the town. They can be when you’re snowed in with a bottle of wine and some video games on the couch.

Romance in relationships should never be one sided. Healthy relationships are not about give and take, they’re about give and give. Great relationships are a team… a partnership. Two people who work together to move forward and keep each other happy.
