2 years! Who would've thought that two years ago today when @rachel.xtina and I first started exchanging messages at the beginning of a global pandemic, that we'd be here now celebrating an #anniversary AND an #engagement?!

A few weeks ago I decided I wasn't getting the pro

A few weeks ago I decided I wasn't getting the progress I wanted in the gym, so I made some changes. Primarily, basically completely cutting out alcohol.

Those empty calories were going directly to places I didn't want them and I was tired of my results not reflecting the amount of work I put in.

So, I cut that out, started consuming significantly more protein, we get much better sleep now living on a quiet cul de sac, and have been much more mindful about food consumption.

As a result, I've been pushing *a lot* harder in the gym. Clothes are fitting me MUCH better. My energy and mood are enhanced, and I don't even crave alcohol.

I believe in moderation. If the craving arises, I'll have one small drink. If the kids are making chocolate chip cookies, I grab one (or two...). If we go out to dinner or order takeout, I don't worry about the calories in the food.

This is because progress is important to me, but so is enjoying life and having a healthy balance.

I am VERY excited to see what I am able to accomplish without being held back by unnecessarily restrictions.

Here's to you removing your boundaries to success, as well. Get after it - whatever "it" is for you. 💪

This is how you create and sustain a bond over the long term, by committing to living your life in accordance with it.

The kids, the obligations, the bills, the work, the family life, all of it needs to be given attention, love, and priority. All areas of life are important in their own ways, and it’s also true that all areas of life are affected by the person you choose to spend it with.

Their positive or negative energy will impact your mood. What they say will linger in your mind. How they make you feel will affect your performance at work and at home.

Choosing the right partner is one of the most important things you’ll ever do.

But, you don’t just choose them one time.

You choose them every single day when you wake up in the morning and live within the reality of that relationship. That is the central foundation of everything else you will do and create.

Relationships are like a fire — you must stoke it consistently if you want it to keep burning. If you do it right, it’ll keep you warm forever.
