Communication: The key to a solid relationship.

This is a big one. Many people put up walls to protect themselves from getting hurt, but you could be keeping out the ONE person who isn’t going to act like the rest. Isn’t that what you want to find?

It’s easy to group together entire genders when we’ve had some negative experiences – but for the sake of your own happiness, your heart and mind has to remain open.

Don’t be afraid to say what you feel because of your past…I understand our past makes us all who we are, but it’s also behind us, and that’s where it needs to stay. If we keep living there, we will never move forward.

Each individual person and situation is different, and needs to be treated as a fresh start, because it is.

SPEAK. Say what you think, feel what you feel, and you’ll have a hell of a lot easier time finding what you want.

Girls need to heed this advice in order to move past the fear of being hurt again. It’s a real fear, and we understand – but the right guy will not ever pressure you to say things you don’t feel, or act on feelings you don’t have. You will feel comfortable, open, and willing to share everything with him.

Guys need to heed this advice in order to squash the stereotype that men showing feelings means weakness. Trust me, it takes a lot more strength to be honest with yourself and others about how you feel, than it does to hide and avoid it. (Don’t gush or anything) but be open and willing to share everything with her as well.

When you find the right person, they’ll not only be your lover, but also your best friend. You’ll want to share things with them.

The more openly you communicate with them, the stronger your relationship will be.
